The Pepper robot at the EY “Entrepreneur of the Year” awards, when the stage was filled with questions about the future.
A unique fusion of technology and art was showcased at the EY (Ernst & Young) “Entrepreneur of the Year” event, held at the Megaron Concert Hall, featuring ORTEM HELLAS S.A.’s humanoid robot Pepper, which actively participated in the performance.
The production was staged by Alexandros Grammatopoulos’s production company; Grammatopoulos also wrote the script, creating a contemporary theatrical approach in which the robot Pepper played a substantial and lively role, dynamically enhancing the play’s development.
The Pepper robot did not merely serve as an impressive presence, but as an active participant in the performance. Through its interaction with the young actors and its adaptation to the needs of the script, it played a dynamic role in the development of the play, even taking on the role of an “actor.” The balance between technology, stage presence, and interactivity highlighted robotics’ potential to serve as a creative element of contemporary artistic expression.
Through carefully crafted dialogue, dynamic use of visual content via its built-in screen, and strategic placement at key moments in the performance, the Pepper robot served as an active element of the overall experience, substantially enhancing the creative outcome and offering the audience a modern, interactive experience where technology meets artistic expression in a natural and harmonious way.
The implementation and technical support for the robot’s participation were provided by ORTEM HELLAS S.A., which specializes in the design and development of social robotics solutions. Through such initiatives, the company demonstrates in practice that robots can play an active role not only in business or exhibition settings, but also in cultural productions, where technology does not merely support but co-stars.
Pepper’s appearance on stage impressed the audience and confirmed that when innovation meets creativity, the result can be truly unique: a robot that isn’t just standing on stage, but acts, communicates, and becomes part of the story.
ORTEM HELLAS S.A. continues to invest in the integration of technology and human expertise, breaking new ground in robotics in fields where, until recently, only the imagination reigned supreme.
